Seattle (Washington State, USA) acts as the alternative (to Vancouver) port for ships departing for the Inside Passage. Many cruise passengers enjoy a day or two in the city before taking to the sea as Seattle has much to offer the traveller; the Seattle Waterfront (including Pike Place Market and the Seattle Aquarium), sports-fishing trips, Tillicum Village, the Space Needle, shopping and fine restaurants.
