Kamloops

Kamloops, meaning where the rivers meet, is not only where the north and south Thompson Rivers meet, but also where three major highways including the Trans-Canada meet. You’ll find an authentic, friendly community with the personal feel of a small city and the openness of a vast, rugged landscape which showcases a variety of terrain and recreational opportunities including golf, skiing, hiking, fishing and mountain biking.

Ride a heritage train pulled by a beautifully restored 1912 steam locomotive featuring a reenactment of the famous 1906 Bill Miner train robbery that took place just outside Kamloops. Visit the BC Wildlife Park with over 65 species and featuring daily wildlife encounters during the spring and summer. Take in Music in the Park, a free concert every evening during July and August. Visit the Museum and Native Heritage Park where the cultural history of the Secwepemc First Nations people is brought to life and learn about the heritage through an incredible array of artifacts, displays, and stories.
