The historic town of Eagle sits beside the Yukon River at the end of the Tailor Highway just 4 miles from the Canadian Border close to the Ogilvie mountains. Often called the 'Jewel on the Yukon’, Eagle was established in 1897 during the Klondike Gold Rush, and the community still provides visitors with the nostalgic atmosphere of the early days when Eagle was the judicial, commercial, mining and military centre for the Upper Yukon.
Eagle is a quaint town offering excellent views from the summit of Eagle Bluff and the chance to explore the Yukon River by either canoe or aboard the Yukon Queen II.
